What GameSpecter actually is
A DayZ Discord bot, a web panel, and an optional in-game Claim menu that share one catalog. No bot hosting on your box.
GameSpecter is a Discord bot you authorize from a web panel, plus a DayZ Claim menu if you install the mods. We host the bot. You don't stand up a VPS for it, and you don't edit bot config files by hand.
Shop posts, vote payouts, dungeon bookings, and the fortune wheel start working in Discord as soon as the bot is in your guild. Players only receive items in their hands after the server pack is installed and talking to the panel.
Three pieces, one catalog
- Web panel at gamespecter.app: catalog, shop, votes, wheel, donations, clans, the rest.
- Discord bot: posts, buttons, leaderboards, Steam-link modal. Invite it from guild Settings.
- DayZ mods: Claim menu, playtime heartbeat, live monitor, Steam link codes. Optional until you want in-game delivery.
Fill the catalog once. Shop, wheel, votes, playtime, and Claim all read that list. If you later drop from Plus back to Free, the catalog stays; extra items just lock until you upgrade again.

“No configs” vs the one file you do need
The marketing line is about Discord: you don't host the bot and you don't hand-edit shop JSON. The DayZ server still needs one file if you want Claim, playtime, or the monitor: DD_Settings/DD_GameSpecter/config.json with GuildId and ServerSecret. That's on the DayZ mods page.
